Совершенно новая для столицы концепция была придумана как будто вопреки всем существующим стереотипам, но так полюбилась гостям и критикам, что ресторан быстро собрал внушительную коллекцию профессиональных наград: выбор «Афиши» «Лучшее в Москве» 2014, лучший ресторан Menu.ru в номинации «Меню года» 2014, гран-при XI Московского гастрономического фестиваля 2015, премия Time Out Москва в номинации «Лучшая мини-сеть» 2016. Именно за эту концепцию автор идеи и владелец Александр Раппопорт в 2014 году был удостоен звания «Ресторатор года» по версии журнала «GQ Russia».

В основе меню «Китайской грамоты» — кантонская, она же гуандунская кухня, самая распространенная версия китайской кухни за пределами Поднебесной и пока всё еще малоизвестная в Москве. Удивительно разнообразные с точки зрения вкуса, но при этом сбалансированные блюда, стремительно приготовленные на раскалённом огненном воке и сдобренные свежей зеленью. Бренд-шеф Сюй Лей и шеф-повар Чжан Сяньчэн предлагают меню, сплошь составленное из гастрономических хитов: многие гости специально приезжают сюда на салат из битых огурцов с кинзой и кешью, хрустящие баклажаны с помидорами, утку по-пекински, томленые утиные язычки, деликатесные чёрные утиные яйца, куриные лапки четырёх видов, прозрачные дим-самы и десерт жареное молоко.

Two-story restaurant "Chinese Literature. Bar and Food" in Barvikha Luxury Village

“Chinese Literature. Bar and Food“ in Barvikha is the second restaurant of the deafeningly successful and titled mini chain of the United Company ”Rappoport Restaurants”. The first “Kitayskaya Gramota”, opened on Sretenka in 2014, instantly became an urban legend and one of the most popular places in the capital, and the second restaurant, located on the main pedestrian street of boutiques in the shopping center “Barvikha Luxury Village”, successfully continued the expansion and showed guests new facets of “Kitayskaya Gramota”.

While in the center the emphasis is on the lively atmosphere of an English pub, outside the city it is a full-fledged two-storey restaurant where guests come to relax and recharge their batteries in a relaxed and refreshing atmosphere. The daylight penetrating through the huge panoramic windows helped the designers to fill the room with air and lightness: in such a space familiar art objects from the times of the Cultural Revolution, modern Chinese art, recognizable pillows with portraits of Mao Zedong, a collection of ancient vases and sculptures from the ancient Han and Tang dynasties look even more bright and trendy.

The conceptual menu of “Chinese Literature” here remains unchanged: just like in the restaurant on Sretenka, it is based on Cantonese, aka Guangdong cuisine. Chef Zhang Xiancheng offers a menu full of gastronomic hits: salad of broken cucumbers with cilantro and cashews, crispy eggplants with tomatoes, transparent dim sum, stewed duck tongues, delicacy black duck eggs, beef with black pepper and, of course, Peking duck.

In spring and summer “Chinese Literature” in Barvikha expands its space and opens a terrace: guests are saved from the sun by the awning made of fabric of the brand’s poppy color, a summer garden is spread in the center of the space.

Hogo, hot pot, or Chinese samovar, is both a dish and a method of cooking, as well as a way of spending time with friends and family.

Hogo is a traditional Chinese meal that has existed for over two thousand years.

The most interesting part is the process of preparing hogo. Each participant at the feast decides for themselves what to try and how long to cook it: food is added to the samovar with chopsticks. The temperature of the broth can be adjusted, and the finished ingredients can be eaten separately or tried with the broth in the form of soup.

Hogo at Chinese Grammar is served for four guests (7,000 rubles) and is only available on weekends from 12:00 to 22:00, when you can take your time and enjoy it with your loved ones and family.

This offer is valid at the restaurant on Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 to 22:00.

Rappoport’s restaurants are repeating their grand event in honor of Chinese New Year and the birthday of the restaurant “Chinese Grammar”: last year, this event was a real gastronomic triumph, with huge queues forming outside the restaurants and visitors able to sample Cantonese cuisine at an incredible price.

More than 4,000 dim sum dishes and over 1,000 portions of “fried milk” were sold!

From February 3 to 21, for 15 days, the Chinese Grammar restaurants on Sretenka and in Barvikha are once again inviting guests to celebrate the holiday with a unique offer: 15 main dishes for 15 yuan (US$2.20) each.

The menu includes crispy cucumbers with cilantro and cashews, a salad of soy asparagus, black mushrooms, and cucumbers with peanuts, fragrant eggplant with tomatoes, spicy black wood mushrooms, Cao Ga duck breast in walnut sauce, pressed pork ears in soy marinade, sour and spicy soup with shrimp and chicken, soup with noodles and duck seeds, an assortment of four types of dim sum (with vegetables, shrimp, crab, and beef), baozi with pork, egg noodles with chicken, Singaporean glass noodles, Kung Pao chicken with peanuts, pork in orange sauce, and fried milk — a classic Chinese dessert with a delicate texture and golden crust.

The special menu is available Monday through Friday, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis, and the offer does not apply to delivery or takeout.
