Inspired by Eastern aesthetics and traditional refinement, the head bartender of Kitayskaya Gramota, Sergey Bakhtinov, has created a new cocktail collection — four signature drinks where notes of fruits, spices, and flowers come together in unexpected yet harmonious flavor compositions featuring soju, sansho pepper, cherry blossom liqueur, and Japanese plum.
“Dance of Petals” (850 RUB) — a refreshing and elegant cocktail based on gin and strawberry soju, complemented by sparkling wine, violet liqueur, and clarified lemon juice.
“White Shadow of the Phoenix” (800 RUB) — an unexpected interpretation of the Bloody Mary. A clarified cocktail where a restrained presentation meets a rich and complex flavor profile. The base is vodka, enhanced with tomato cordial and a spicy blend of seasonings.
“Lunar Cloud” (800 RUB) — the most texturally distinctive cocktail in the collection: gin infused with Japanese plum and sansho pepper is combined with dry vermouth, lemon juice, egg white, and ice cream. Its airy, creamy texture meets vibrant spice and subtle acidity, creating a multi-layered tasting experience.
The series concludes with “Scent of Dawn” (800 RUB), built around a combination of vodka, wild strawberry liqueur, cherry blossom liqueur, lemon juice, and egg white. Light and fruit-forward with floral notes, it evokes the freshness of early morning and the first cool breath of dawn. Balanced in sweetness and acidity, the cocktail unfolds gently, with an emphasis on aroma.
